Just Playin'

There hasn't been too much happening over here in Japan. It has been too hot and humid to do much of anything outside, but it is starting to cool down!!! So we have just been playing around the apartment. Grammy came out to visit us last week!!! It was so nice to have her here and entertain us for awhile. Tessa had so much fun with her :) And I loved having her around!

It's Daddy's Birthday!!!

Happy 30th Birthday Daddy :)

It is officially your birthday over here in Japan so this year you get to celebrate a little longer. We are bummed we can't be with you to give you big birthday hugs and kisses but we will celebrate in a few days when you get home. We miss you!!!

Our Baby Girl is 10 Months Old

Tessa turned 10 months old yesterday! Like I always say, I can't believe it has already been 10 months :) She is doing great. She babbles up a storm (a true girl), crawls everywhere (getting into everything), and laughs a ton. She finally got her first tooth this past month!!! We are still waiting for more to come. She is still a little social butterfly talking to everyone around her and loves playing with her little friends here. We can't wait to see what new things she will do this month :) Here are some pics from the past month... enjoy!!!

Swim Day

The other day DJ and I decided to take Tessa to the swimming pool. The pool just opened a few weeks ago at a nearby hotel which lets the Hawks players in to use the pool. It is really nice. The hotel has an outdoor pool which overlooks the city and an indoor pool that has lots of neat things. There are fake trees and crocodiles around (kinda reminds me of an amusement park look). We first took Tessa to the outdoor pool because they had really shallow steps, but she was a little scared to sit in the water. I think it was way too cold for her.

So we decided to try the indoor pool. It was a little warmer and she did better in here. She sat and played with Daddy on the steps and then I took her in the pool with me. She was having fun and didn't even scream when I dunked her in the water. She just kinda lost her breath a little and her eyes got a little big... ha ha. Of course Daddy couldn't believe I would do that to his baby girl :) Overall we had a really good time and can't wait to go again!

Fireworks!!!

Tonight we went to see a really neat fireworks show. It was at a local park that we love to go to, but since it was too crazy down there we decided to go watch them outside the stadium. A bunch of people went up there to watch them. It was the perfect view without the loud noise (so the kids didn't freak out) It was 1 1/2 hours long and had over 6,000 fireworks!!! We had a really good time. We went with another family and the kids had a blast. Tessa would kick her feet and ooh and aah when the big fireworks would come :) And the other little boy, Austin (2yrs) was so excited when he would see them. He would scream WOW!!! We heard about the fireworks last minute, from my English speaking neighbor, and are so glad that we decided to check them out :)
